Labor Service
At Handy Jack LLC, labor pricing is based on scope, time, and effort. This policy exists to keep pricing fair, transparent, and consistent for both the customer and the technician on site.
Base Labor Service
All labor-only services begin with a base labor rate of $75, which covers the first hour of hands-on work. This includes straightforward labor tasks with normal access and no unexpected obstacles.
The 3-Hour Labor Rule
Labor-only services are intended for short-duration, clearly defined tasks. When labor reaches or exceeds three (3) hours, the job converts to hourly labor billing. This applies primarily to labor-only jobs and extended tasks such as sorting, organizing, breakdown, or customer-directed additions.
Hourly Labor Conversion
First hour: $75
Each additional hour: $50 per hour
Hourly billing begins only after scope is communicated and acknowledged by the customer. No work continues beyond the initial scope without confirmation.
Scope Changes
Labor pricing may adjust due to added items, additional rooms, stairs, access issues, extended carry distances, or changes requested once work begins. These are considered scope changes, not delays.
Commitment
Handy Jack LLC values transparency, safety, and clear communication. Most labor jobs are completed within the original scope. The 3-hour rule exists for extended situations to protect both parties.

Labor service estimates are based on information provided by the customer prior to arrival, including photos, descriptions, access details, and stated scope of work. Estimates are not guarantees of total time required.
Actual labor time may vary due to undisclosed items, scope changes, access limitations, item condition, or customer-directed adjustments. Handy Jack LLC reserves the right to adjust pricing when labor scope changes, including transitioning to hourly labor under the 3-hour rule.
All pricing adjustments are communicated before work continues. No additional labor charges are applied without customer acknowledgment.
